New Perfectly Clean and Simple Challenge - Shapes


We've got a new challenge for you today on the Perfectly Clean and Simple Challenge Blog and this time our theme is:


I have to admit this one had me a bit challenged to start with!  Then I remembered the Mid Century Modern stamp from Uniko here and thought it would be perfect for my card.

I stamped it in black Versafine and then trimmed it to fit one third of the card with the black layer round it.  The sentiment is from Craftwork Cards.

For my first card (above) I cut a piece of patterned paper into panels with navy card behind to make the panels pop and then some lighter blue card round that.

The butterfly is cut from a Memory Box die and I added some gems and a pearl to finish the card.

New Mix It Up Challenge Blog - Anything Goes/Stencilling


Today sees the start of a new challenge on the Mix It Up Challenge Blog - this month it's anything goes with the option of stencilling.

As it's something I've not really tried before, I decided to have a go at stencilling!

I used the Mid Century Modern stencil from Uniko Stamps with Distress Inks.  When I'd stencilled the whole of my card I die cut a circle in the bottom right and added the sentiment on the base card so it showed through the whole.

New Love to Scrap Challenge Blog - Red and/or Pink


It's time for a new challenge on the Love to Scrap Challenge Blog and this month our theme is 'red and/or pink'.

To make my card I scored a piece of white card into 9 sections and then punched 8 hearts - 4 from plain red paper and 4 from gingham paper.  I attached these to the card inside the scored boxes and then a Stampin' Up sentiment stamped in red in the middle box.

I finished the card by layering on to red paper and the base cards.

It's a Girl Thing - Turner Syndrome Foundation Awareness Blog Hop 2020


Welcome to my post for this year's Turner Syndrome Awareness Blog Hop!

First of all, a little bit about Turner Syndrome - it's a genetic disorder where a female is born missing her second X chromosome leaving her with life long medical issues.  These issues can include things like high cholesterol levels, low bone density, poor coordination, liver problems and kidney problems.

February is Turner Syndrome Awareness month and this second blog hop is taking place to help towards this - we aim to make the crafting community aware of the syndrome and try to help increase diagnosis rates.
