New Sparkles Challenge Blog - Thank You Cards


We've got a new challenge for you today on the Sparkles Challenge Blog and this month we're looking for thank you cards.

To make my card I used dies from the Stampin' Up Peaceful Moments bundle as well as one of the sentiments from the stamp set.

I put the card together with a layer of red card and some gemstones to finish it.

New Sparkles Challenge - Winter Blues


This month at the Sparkles Challenge our theme is 'winter blues'.

I used reverse masking for my card, cutting the aperture for my mask with a Stampin' Up die.  I inked through the aperture using Tumbled Glass Distress Ink and then stamped the trees from the Stampin' Up Winter Woods stamp set.

I added a sentiment from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set and some glitter glue round the edge of the inked shape.

I layered the panel on to a piece of A4 Silver Pearl Paper from The Papebox Ltd available here.

New Sparkles Challenge - The Colour Purple


There's a new challenge today on the Sparkles Monthly Challenge Blog and this time our theme is 'the colour purple'.

I'm sharing a French congratulations card I was asked to make.

The stamp set I used is from Uniko and is from a workshop I went to with Bev from the company last weekend - it's called 'You Are, Yes You Are' and is here on their website.

I used paper from Craft Creations and paper pieced the flower to match the border.  I finished the card with some clear gems and some Card Candi.

New Sparkles Challenge - Stamped Background

I'm sharing a card I made using a new stamp set I bought recently from Easycraftideas when they were on Hochanda.  The set is called Gorgeous Gerberas - although it doesn't appear on their own website, it is still on the Hochanda site.

I stamped the smallest flower from the set as a background, the largest image as the focal point and then the sentiment.  Everything was coloured with Promarkers.

New Sparkles Challenge - New Year, New Stash


For today's new challenge on the Sparkles Monthly Challenge Blog we want to see something new you've got in your stash.

I've used my new Stampin' Up 'Happiness Surrounds' stamp set - this time with black ink but on some coloured paper with a very subtle pattern on it.

I also used some ribbon across the paper and then matted the coloured panel on to white and then black paper.

New Sparkles Challenge - Stamp Your Background


There's a new challenge today on the Sparkles Challenge Blog and this time we're asking you to 'stamp your background' with no design paper.

I'm sharing a card which I made at a workshop I attended last weekend.  The workshop was given by Crafty Roo Designs and was a fantastic day.  We were shown different techniques and then given the opportunity to experiment and make what we wanted to.

We were working with Poly Plates which are basically solid background stamps which come in various shapes and sizes.

For this card I used:

My card was with the very cute 'Daisy's First Easter' which you can find here in the Etsy shop.

I've coloured the image with Promarkers and used some papers from a Pebbles pad.  The sentiment is from a DigiStamp Boutique stamp set and I've added some black gems to finish the card.

New Sparkles Challenge - Clean and Simple


There's a new challenge today on the Sparkles Challenge Blog and this month our theme is 'clean and simple'.  You can find all the details here on the challenge blog.

I'm sharing a very simple birthday card using one of my favourite Memory Box dies called 'Perky Poppy'.  

I die cut it twice, once from black paper and once from red paper and then inlaid the red die cut sections into the black outline.

The sentiment is a stamp from Uniko.

New Sparkles Challenge - Thank You


It's time for our first challenge of the year on the Sparkles Challenge Blog and our theme this month is 'thank you'.   Have a look here for all the details.

For my card I've used one of the stamps from The Greetings Farm Miss Anya set.  I coloured the stamped image with Promarkers and used papers from Craft Creations.

The sentiment is from Visible Image and the flower was made using a die from Sweet Dixie.

New Sparkles Monthly Challenge - Quickie Christmas/Happy New Year


Today it's the last challenge of the year on the Sparkles Monthly Challenge Blog and this time we want to see 'a quickie Christmas card' or a 'Happy New Year Card'.  You can find more details here on the challenge blog.

For my DT card I've made a quickie Christmas card.

I started with a square of white card and scored it into twelve squares.  I stamped a sentiment from Cardio Stamps in the middle square and stuck punched black snowflakes in the middle of all of the other squares.  I added some clear and black gems to finish the card.
