New Cardz 4 Guyz Challenge - Beside the Sea

A new challenge started on the Cardz 4 Guyz Challenge Blog on Tuesday and this fortnight our theme is 'beside the sea'.  You can find all the details here on the challenge blog.

For my card I've used an outline sticker from Little Claire Designs called 'Wavy Seascape' which you can find here on their website.

The base card, paper and life buoy die cut I've used are from a nautical themed card making kit which was a free gift with a recent issue of Quick Cards magazine.

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges:

Creatalicious Challenges - 'anything goes/red, white and blue'
Seize the Birthday - 'red, white and you (blue)'
Let's Craft and Create - 'red, white and blue'
Simon Monday Challenge - 'red, white and/or blue'

Papercraft Inspirations and Quick Cards Magazines

I am very excited to have been featured as this month's 'blog of the month' by Papercraft Inspirations magazine!   I've scanned the page and you can see the photo of my blog plus three of my cards and a little bit about me.

I was also part of the Reader Design Team for this month's Quick Cards Magazine - my card doesn't appear in the magazine but is on their website.  We were provided with the papers which are in the middle of this month's issue to make a card.

The papers were centred around birthdays and for my card (above) I used three of the patterned papers and then die cut a circle from one of the others which I used with one of the sentiments.

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges:

Crafty Catz Challenge - 'two or more patterned papers'
Simply Create Too - 'no digis or stamps'
Scribble and Scrap Challenge - 'anything goes'
613 Avenue Create - 'anything goes'
The Crafting Cafe - 'flights of fancy'
Word Art Wednesday - 'anything goes'

Quick Cards Magazine Reader Design Team

I'm very excited to say that one of my cards has been included in the current issue of Quick Cards Magazine as part of the Reader Design Team feature!!

Last year I saw a post on Facebook asking for people to be part of the team and e-mailed my application.  I was delighted to be chosen to take part and I was then sent copies of the free bonus papers which are part of this month's magazine.  We were asked to design a card using the papers and send it in - some would be in the magazine and some on the website.

This is my card and I was really pleased to see that it had made it into the magazine!!

I layered the free papers with some kraft paper, inked all the edges and added faux stitching for a vintage feel card.

If you'd like to see the original paper designs, you can find them here on the Quick Cards website.

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges:

Creative Corner Challenges - 'love is in the air'
Love to Create Challenge Blog - 'anything goes'
Brown Sugar Challenge - 'pink and red'
Papertake Weekly - 'anything goes'
Party Time Tuesday Challenge - 'anything goes'
