Marvellous Mini Masterpieces Facebook Challenge for October

 

Today it's my turn to share my DT project for this month's Marvellous Mini Masterpieces Challenge.

Each month we give you an inspiration picture and ask you to make something no bigger than 4 by 5 inches.

I started by applying Antique Linen Distress Ink to white card using a blending brush.

The I used the colours from the photo to stamp leaveas from the Stampin' Up Love of Leaves stamp set.

Here is this month's inspiration picture:

I made an ATC.

I started by stamping a flower from the Stampin' Up Art Gallery stamp set in Daffodil Delight and Gorgeous Grape stamped off and full strength.

The dragonfly stamp is from Creative Stamping magazine - I stamped it over the background and then again on white card, cut it out and used some foam pads.

The dragonfly word transparency is from my stash.

Today I'm sharing my August project in the Marvellous Mini Masterpieces Challenge Group on Facebook.

Each month we ask you to make a project based on a new mood board with the proviso that your project must measure less than 4 inches by 5 inches.

And this is our mood board for August:

I made an ATC for this month's project using the Art Gallery stamp set from Stampin' Up.

I use three Stampin' Up Inks - Mossy Meadow, Magenta Madness and Gorgeous Grape.  On the flowers I stamped off the first stamp and then stamped the second at full strength.

I added a sentiment from the Timeless Tulips stamp set.

We're back today with a new challenge in the Marvellous Mini Masterpieces Challenge over on Facebook and here is this month's mood board:

The challenge is to create something inspired by the mood board remembering that it must be less than 4 inches by 5 inches.

I made an ATC for my project using torn paper to create the shore and various Stampin' Up stamps finish the scene.

The start of the month means a new challenge in the Marvellous Mini Masterpieces Facebook Group.

Each month we have a mood board to inspire you and we ask that you make something which is no bigger than 4 by 5 inches.

This month I made a set of three ATCs using both the photo and the colours.

I used papers from the Sail Away paper pad from First Edition and a Stampin' Up stamp.

A new challenge has started today in the Marvellous Mini Masterpieces Challenge Group.  We're now a monthly challenge giving you even longer to link up your masterpieces!

How will you interpret it?

I made an ATC using the pink and gold colours.  I sponged Spun Sugar and Picked Raspberry Distress Inks and gold metallic ink on to white card and then sprayed with water and blotted with kitchen towel.

When this had dried I used a stamp from Visible Image stamped in black ink.

Finally, I matted the inked and stamped panel on to black card.

I made an ATC for this month's challenge.

First I created my background using Stampin' Up Inks in Gorgeous Grape, Magenta Madness and Coastal Cabana.  

Then I used stamps from Stampin' Up to overstamp in black Memento before edging the whole design in Gorgeous Grape and then matting on to black card to finish.

We'd like you to make a bookmark using the image as inspiration.  Your creation must be no bigger than 4 by 5 inches.

To make my bookmark I used two different patterned papers from Stampin' Up stamping the hearts and sentiment over the top.  The stamps I used are from the Forever Lovely stamp set, again from Stampin' Up.

From the mood board I took the poppy, the blue, the hearts and the word love.

I recently joined the Design Team for a brand new challenge called Marvellous Mini Masterpieces and today I'm sharing my first design for the challenge.

Each of our challenges will have a mood board for inspiration and will be anything goes - you can create anything you want to as long as your finished project is no bigger than 4 by 5 inches.

Here is the mood board for today's new challenge:

I die cut my tag using a Tim Holtz die and then used Tumbled Glass Distress Ink lightly to colour it.

I then cut another piece of white card and used the Tumbled Glass ink and Shaded Lilac to create the background.  I used the Stampin' Up Snow Front stamp set to create the scene, stamping the hills in Tumbled Glass and the other elements in Memento Ink.

The sentiment is also from Stampin' Up and I added some snow highlights with my chalk pen.

From the mood board, I used the colours, silver fibres which look like fireworks and the celebrate theme.
