New Cardz 4 Guyz and Sparkles Challenges - Summer

 


Today I'm sharing a card which is my DT inspiration for two challenges:

Here's another view of my card:


I've used the 'Sunrise Sailing' stamp and die set from Stampin' Up.  After die cutting the boat I snipped between the sails - it isn't cut out by the die and looked a bit odd with the blue background behind it.

I then paper pieced the sales - I got this idea from Susan LaCroix.  Her You Tube video using the set can be found here.

New Sparkles Challenge - Fairy Tale or Storybook and a DT Call

 


We're back today on the Sparkles Challenge Blog with a new challenge:


This month our theme is 'fairy tale or storybook'.  

We're also having a DT call for one or two new team members.  It's a great team to be a part of - very relaxed and you can use your own products to make your cards and work ahead if that's what you like doing.

To make my card I used 'The Practically Perfect Nanny Collection' from Relatively Thoughtful available here as a paper collection and here as a digital collection.

I used one of the images, one of the sentiments and one of the backing papers.

New Sparkles Monthly Challenge - January Blues (Monochrome Blues)

 


It's time for a new challenge on the Sparkles Monthly Challenge Blog:

I used two designs of patterned paper from Stampin' Up to create a patchwork design and added a sentiment to the centre of the card.  

The sentiment is from Stampin' Up stamped in Night of Navy ink and then die cut with a Stampin' Up die.

I'm sharing a card made with the beautiful 'Sam's Seasonal Collection' from Cariad Designs - Samantha Jane Laing:

It's a beautiful mixture of Christmas designs and I really enjoyed making my first couple of cards with it - there's a lot left to make more cards too!

New Sparkles Monthly Challenge - Clean and Simple

 


We're back today with a new challenge on the Sparkles Challenge Blog:

To make my card I've used another stamp from one of my recently purchased sets from Funky Fossil Designs.  The set is called 'Totally Barking' and it's available here.

I simply stamped one of the images and one of the sentiments and then coloured the image with Promarkers.

I matted the image on to red card and then a white card base.

New Sparkles Monthly Challenge - Things That Go Bump in the Night!

This month our theme is 'things that bump in the night' and I decided to think outside the box when I made my card!   Santa travels at night and on my card he's stuck in the chimney and likely to land with a bump!

To make my DT card I used a cute digi stamp from Pink Gem Designs called 'Cozy Marley'.  The sentiment I've used comes with the image (outline and coloured) and you can find it here in the Etsy shop.

New Sparkles Challenge - No Stamping Allowed

 


We're back today on the Sparkles Challenge Blog with a new challenge and this month it's 'no stamping allowed'.

To make my card I used the 'Flower Power #4' stencil from Uniko Designs available here with Stampin' Up ink and a blending brush.

Then I die cut the word 'smile' from black paper - it's part of the Picked Posies bundle from Uniko via Craftstash.

New Sparkles Challenge - Clean and Simple

 


It was my turn to choose today's theme on the Sparkles Challenge Blog and I decided on CAS (clean and simple).

To make my card I used the 'Rain Down Corners' stamp set from Clearly Besotted Stamps.  

I simply stamped one of the corners and coloured with Promarkers and then stamped the sentiment.
