Less is More - Week 21

This is my card for challenge 21 at 'Less is More' which is a sketch challenge.  I used a strip of Doodlebug paper matted on to a strip of pink card on which I used my Fiskars Threading Water punch.  I've had this punch for a while but haven't used it.  When I first bought it I didn't really 'get' how it worked.  Since then I've bought a couple of the Martha Stewart punches and realised the principle is the same.  I saw the Fiskars one used on a card in a magazine last week and decided to get mine out to have another go!

The main stamped image is one of 'Claire's Sentiments' from Little Claire Designs which I stamped and coloured.  The two little cupcakes either side are from a Do Crafts set and I punched them out with my circle punch - again neglected since I bought my Nestabilities but it was just the right size for this card.

I'd like to enter the card in the following challenges:

Moving Along With the Times - 'clean and simple'
Shopping Our Stash - 'tools of the trade' (my two punches)
Less is More - I followed the sketch
Cupcake Craft Challenges - 'cooking up a storm'

In the Garden

For this card I've used a stamp called 'Georgia' from Little Claire Designs.  I used Go Kreate dies round the image and for the pink layer underneath and also for the green layer on the base of the easel.  The papers are from DCWV - I've paper pieced the dress using some of the green paper.  The circular sentiment is also from Little Claire and is available as part of a set here.  I've also added some pink pearls on the base.

Here's a close up of the sentiment panel:

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Papertake Weekly - 'bloom and grow'
Craft Your Passion - 'cutie patootie'
Cupcake Craft - 'in the garden'
Lexi's Creations - 'spots and/or stripes'
Anything Goes Challenge Blog - 'bingo' - I've used paper piecing, flowers and pearls

Butterfly Bear

This is one of my favourite Elzybells stamps - he's called 'Butterfly Bear' and I just think he's so cute!  I've used more DCWV paper behind him - finally using up a pad I've had for quite a while and just looked at up till now!  The little black dots are peel offs and I've inked the edges of the scalloped square to give it a little more definition.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Crafty Calendar Challenge - 'teddy bears'
Sunday Sketch and Stamp - I've followed the latest sketch
The Crafty Pad - 'spots and dots'

Fancy Marci

I spotted the La La Land Craft stamps recent and couldn't resist buying a couple!  This one is called 'Fancy Marci' and this is the first time I've used her - the stamp stamps very clearly and is great for colouring too.  I've used some paper I've had for quite a while from DCWV - it's a lovely pastel pad and I have to admit I've looked at it from time to time and put it back on the shelf again!  The sentiment is from Craftwork Cards.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

One Stitch at a Time - 'fancy folds'
Ellephantastic Challenge - 'birthday/party'
Divas by Design - 'anything goes' - second entry
My Mum's Craft Shop - 'cute and girly' - second entry
Crafty Ann's Challenge Blog - 'happy birthday'
Saturday Challenge - 'dust off your stash' (my paper!)

ABC Christmas Challenge - F is for Freebie!

The theme on the current ABC Christmas Challenge is 'F is for Freebie' which in this case is the digi image I've used to make my card.  There's also a sketch to follow.  I really like this cute little stamp - he's very easy to colour.

Christmas Mimi Tag Card

Another Christmas card - still keeping to my resolution to make them throughout the year!  This one is a tag card - I die cut the base using a tag die in my Cuttlebug and then die cut the paper to match.  The stamp is one of my favourites from last Christmas - part of the Christmas Mimi set from Penny Black.

Card Recipe

Stamp - Christmas Mimi by Penny Black
Paper - DCWV
Red ribbon and gold paper (scalloped circle)

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Crafty Hazlenut's Christmas Challenge - 'go for gold' (thank you for your lovely comment on my blog and for pointing me in the direction of your challenges!)

Christmas Teddy

I've used a Lili of the Valley image for this card - the first time I've used this one from the sheet I bought and I think he's gorgeous! The paper I've used is from DCWV and I've also used some red ribbon and a greeting from Craftwork Cards. I'm entering this in two challenges:
Teddy Stampers - Christmas teddies
Stamp Something - Christmas colours

By the Cute and Girly - December Challenge

This month's challenge on By the Cute and Girly is children so I thought I'd use one of my Elzybells stamps called 'Santa's Little Helpers' - a really little cutie! I've used paper from DCWV from last Christmas (I have a huge Christmas paper stash!), some red ribbon and some nail head gems.

Corrosive Challenge Blog #82 - Clean Up the Dust!

This card is for the current challenge on the Corrosive Challenge Blog which is to use something that you've had for a while but not got round to using!

The stamp I used on my card is from C&C Designs and is one that I've for quite a while - I really like the design but just hadn't got round to using it. And the backing paper is from a DCWV pad that I bought a while back but can never bring myself to use because the papers are so gorgeous!

Pink Gem Challenge 4

This is my card for Challenge 4 on A Gem of a Challenge where the challenge was to use burgundy, pink and green. Green is not a colour I use very much on main images so I decided to use it for the dress on my stamped image as something different! The image is of course from Pink Gem Designs and coloured with Promarkers. I've used green and burgundy card, backing paper from DCWV and some pink ribbon just behind the stamped image. The greeting is from Craftwork Cards and I've also added some card dots and punched the side of the card with a Martha Stewart punch.
