Clever Dexter Challenge Inspiration Post


Today I'm sharing some inspiration for this month's Clever Dexter challenge.

As well as our 'something new theme' we also have an optional colour scheme which this month is - white, blue, yellow, orange and green.

For today's card I've used one of the images from the Floral Catcher digi stamp set available here coloured with Promarkers and then die cut with a stitched frame.

I embossed the green card and then attached the image panel and sentiment.

My 'something new' is the beautiful digi stamp set.

DT Card for Kate Hadfield Designs

 


Today I'm sharing my first DT card for Kate Hadfield Designs:


I'm really pleased to be a part of her Design Team and am looking forward to working with the amazing designs on the website.

Today's card was made using one of the images from the 'Wrap Up Warm' stamps set which you can find here.  

I like to colour my images so I chose the stamps set but they images are also available pre-coloured here as Wrap Up Warm or you can get both outlines and pre-coloured images in the Wrap Up Warm Bundle here.

New Use Your Stuff Challenge - Inspired by Disney

 


We're back today on the Use Your Stuff Challenge Blog with our first challenge of the new year.

This time we want you to be inspired by Disney - you can find all the details and lots of inspiration from the Design Team here on the challenge blog.

My card was inspired by the Disney character Dumbo!

I used one of the stamps from the Hey Cutie stamp set from Tracey Hey - I coloured it with Promarkers and then paper pieced the dungarees.

I used one of the scalloped stitched dies from Stampin' Up to die cut the image and then layered with paper from Craft Creations to coordinate with the paper piecing.  The stamped sentiment is from Stampin' Up.

New Craftyhazelnut Christmas Challenge - Anything Goes/Upcycle or Use Something Old

I've gone for something old - a Stampendous wood mounted stamp called 'Deck the Halls ....'.  The date on the stamp is 2000 but I honestly can't remember how long I've had it!

Digi Doodle Studios January GDT Card - Looking Sharp Lil Hedgies Pairables


Today I'm back with my January GDT card for Digi Doodle Studios.

This month I'm using 'Looking Sharp Lil Hedgies Pairables' - isn't it so cute?!  There are three hedgehog characters plus various accessories in the set - for this card I used the heart shaped balloon with one of the hedgehogs.  The sentiment is from the same set.

I coloured the image with my Promarkers and used a stitched scalloped die from Stampin' Up to cut out the image.  I die cut the sentiment with a banner die.

I layered my card with papers from Craft Creations and added some pale pink gems to finish the card.

The idea behind our challenge is that we would like you to make something inspired by the picture AND tell us how you've been inspired.

I was inspired by the colour of the sky, the moon and clouds and the line of buildings.

I used the Bethlehem Edgelits Die Set from Stampin' Up, a small circle die and my cloud dies to cut out the different elements.

The paper is a piece of ombre paper from Stampin' Up - I used the darker end of the sheet for die cutting the clouds.

To make my card I used the Nordic Noel stamp set from Funky Fossil Designs.  I stamped and coloured the trees at the side of my white panel.  Then I stamped and cut out the polar bear, coloured it and then used foam pads to raise it up in front of the trees.
