New Male Room Challenge - Tartan and Plaid

 


We've got a new challenge today on The Male Room Challenge Blog and this time it's:


As soon as I saw this theme I knew I wanted to make a shirt card using some of the Plaid Tidings paper I bought recently from Stampin' Up but the end result wasn't quite what I'd planned!

I had intended to make an origami shirt to put on the front of the card but after two attempts I gave up and decided to make my own design instead!

I embossed the tie and handkerchief with a Stampin' Up embossing folder and added a birthday sentiment with outline stickers at the top of the card.

I'm sharing another of the cards I created using the 'Paws for Thought' stamp set from Di Kaye for The Card Hut.  The set was featured on Create and Craft last week.

I used two of the smaller stamps in the set to create the background, stamping in black and then colouring using Promarkers.

Then I stamped and coloured one of the dogs and layered the card with black paper.

I'm sharing a sympathy card I made recently for my Mum to give to one of her friends.

I used the Blooming Birthday stamp set from Funky Fossil Designs coloured with Promarkers.  I used a sentiment stamp from Stampin' Up.

I layered the card with Mossy Meadow card stock also from Stampin' Up.

GDT Card for Use Your Stuff Challenge - Mood Board

 


I'm back today with another GDT card for the Use Your Stuff Challenge Blog and for this challenge there's a Mood Board to inspire you:

I used the Paper Pumpkin Joy to the World kit to make my card.  I layered up the back of one of the cards and patterned paper taken from the inside of the envelopes.

From the mood board I took the wreath, colours from the cards in the bottom right corner and the sentiment.

The wreath is a die cut in the kit and you stamp the greenery stamp (also included) on it.  The sentiment strip is also provided.
