New Gem of a Challenge - Spots and Stripes


It's time for another new Pink Gem challenge on the Gem of a Challenge blog and this time it was my turn to choose the theme.  I've chosen 'spots and stripes' which should be a nice easy one for everyone.

For my card I used 'Bubbles Ice Skating' from Lacy Sunshine which you can find\ here on their website.  The paper I've used is from Lili of he Valley.

My little tip - if you want a small die cut shape to stand out more (like my corner die), stick two identical die cuts together one on top of each other.

Step Sister at the Sisterhood of Crafters

Strawberry Tea


I went to the craft show at Event City in Manchester last Thursday and one of my purchases was the very sweet 'Strawberry Tea' Hobby House die cut sheet - you can find it here on their website.  

This is my first card made from the sheet - I picked out the red and blue from the image and added lots of layers plus some lace.  The sentiment is from a magazine cover set and I thought it fitted perfectly with the image.

New Little Claire Club Stamp Set - Part 2

Polar Love


I spotted this cute digi when I was blog hopping a couple of weeks ago and when I went to the Imagine That website to have a look at it, I found it was part of their 'progressive challenge'.  The idea is that when you enter the monthly challenge, you received the digis for the next month free to enter the following challenge.

I used the main image from the set and one of the sentiments as well as some heart backing paper and Card Candi to finish the card.

New Little Claire Club Stamp Set - Part 1 Plus a New Catalogue


This is the first of two cards I made using the February club stamp set from Little Claire which is called 'Fabulous Day' - you can find it here on the Little Claire website.

I've used one of the main images from the set plus one of the sentiments and finished the card with some lace and pearls.

New from Little Claire - Silhouette Stamps Part 3


Today I'm sharing my final two cards made with more of the new silhouette stamps from Little Claire.

For my first I used 'Meadow Girl' which you can find here on the Little Claire website and also one of the sentiments from 'Swirly Birds' set which you can find here on the website.  I stamped the main image and the sentiment in Vintage Sepia Versafine ink 


Finally, this is a card made using 'Picnic' which you can find here on the Little Claire website.  I stamped the image in black Versafine and then used Adirondack Cool Peri ink over the top with a circle punched out of a post-it note to mask the moon.  I then stamped one of the sentiments from the 'Swirly Birds' set (which you can find here) over the moon.

New From Little Claire - Silhouettes Part 2


Today I'm sharing two more cards made with the new silhouette stamps from Little Claire.

For my first card (above) I've used 'Wedding Couple' which you can find here on the Little Claire website.  I stamped the image in Versamark ink on to black paper and then embossed it using detail silver embossing powder.


Next is 'Silhouette Owl Tree' which you can find here on the website.  I stamped the main image in black Versafine ink and then used Adirondack Cool Peri over the top, masking the moon using a circle punched out of a post-it note.

New from Little Claire - Silhouette Stamps Part 1


Today I'm sharing two cards made with stamps from the brand new range of Little Claire silhouette images.  They are something a little different and suitable for lots of different occasions and there are more to come later in the week.

The first one (above) is called 'Do All The Things' and you can find it here on the Little Claire website.  I've kept my card for this one very simple - just black and white stamping and some floral backing paper.


Next is 'Silhouette Elephants' which is one of my favourites from the range - you can find it here on the website. For this card, I stamped the image in Versamark ink on black paper and then covered with white embossing powder.
