New Cardz 4 Guyz - Typography

Today I'm sharing my first DT card as a member of the Cardz 4 Guyz Design Team - a big thank you to Caz and the other ladies on the team for inviting me to join you!!

For my card I used a Memory Box die on dark brown paper which I then matted on to kraft paper.  I then added more layers - white card, tartan paper and more kraft.  To finish the card I added three Card Candi.

Fuzzy Buddies - New from Craft Creations Plus

The latest CD rom from Card Creations Plus is the very cute 'Fuzzy Buddies'.  There are some ready made designs on the CD but you can also make your own designs using the big selection of characters and backgrounds.  There's something on there for all occasions.

The CD rom will be featured on Create & Craft later this week and is also available here on the Card Creations Plus website.

I'll be sharing my DT cards made with the CD over the next week or so.  This first one is an easel card with a pyramage topper.

Little Claire Allsorts 2 Class - Part 1

A big thank you to everyone who came along to my two Little Claire classes today - there were 25 there for the Allsorts 2 class this morning and 22 for the Ladies and Gentlemen class this afternoon!

The card that I'm sharing today is from the Allsorts 2 class.  The idea of the Allsorts classes is to use a variety of products and introduce some new techniques - today we tried resist embossing and shrink plastic.  For this card we used acetate as part of the card blank and a Marianne die called 'Birds on a Wire' which is available here on the Little Claire website.  The two part sentiment is from a stamp set called 'A Little Bird Told Me' which is available here.

Something a little bit different from me today - there's no stamping on this card!!  It's my card for the new challenge at Ruby's Rainbow which is 'monochromatic green' plus one colour.  For all the details of the challenge and to see the cards from the rest of the Design Team, have a look here on the challenge blog.

For my card I've used a die to create the central shape from green cardstock.  I then layered it on to some green and yellow paper from the 'Hideaway' First Edition paper pad.

Return of an Old Favourite from Little Claire

One of my old favourites has just returned to the Little Claire website - a great stamp set called 'The Office':

You can find it here on the Little Claire website.  It's a really useful set and would work well for lots of occasions, both for men and women.

For my card, I paper pieced the shed using kraft paper - I coloured parts of the image using Promarkers and also cut open the door.  I put some dark brown paper on the back of the door and behind the open door and also stamped the little sign again on white card and put this on top of the kraft image.  I created the border using one of the stamps from the rack of tools and finished off the card with one of the sentiments from the 'Dictionary Definitions' set which you can find here.
