I used three different sized circle dies to make apertures in the patterned paper I've used and then die cut some letters with my X-cut letter die.  I added a sentiment from a Uniko set and some punched paper dots to finish the card.

New Crafting from the Heart Challenge - Anything Goes

For my card I've used the following products from the We Are 3 Digital Shop February new release:

'Patti Playful' digi image - you get a coloured and outline version

I used the outline version of 'Patti Playful' and coloured the image with Promarkers.  I used some dark brown and white paper to layer my card and used some brown gems to finish it.

New My Time to Craft Challenge - Monochromatic


This fortnight on the My Time to Craft Challenge Blog we're looking for 'monochromatic' creations.  You can find all the details here on the challenge blog.

I've used a stamp and sentiment from the Stampin' Up 'Beautiful You' stamp set.

The paper I've used is part of the Petal Passion DSP pack which is in the current catalogue.

I added a little bit of pale grey Promarker to highlight the image and finished the card with some black gems.

New Craftyhazelnut's Challenge - Anything Goes/Use Some Gold


There's a new challenge today on Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge and this week our optional theme is to 'use some gold'.  You can find all the details here on the challenge blog.

I've used a stamp set from the December release from For the Love of Stamps. 

 I stamped and embossed the design and then layered it with gold paper and white card.  To finish the card I added some little gold gems.

I coloured the image using Promarkers and used papers from Craft Creations - I just had to use kraft and red gingham with this image!!

GDT Card for Twinkle Lane Designs New Release - Pretty Poppy Part 2


Today I'm sharing a GDT card I've made for the 'Pretty Poppy Part 2' new release at Twinkle Lane Designs.

The 'Poppy Jar' digi I've used is available here in the Twinkle Lane Designs Etsy shop.  I coloured it with Promarkers and layered it on to red and black paper.

The digi paper I've used comes from 'Poppy Paper Pack' which you can find here.

I alsoe added some ribbon and finished the card with some red gems and some  punched dots.

We've got a new challenge for you today in the SheepSki Designs Facebook Group - it's 'anything goes' with the optional twist of 'celebration'.

For my card I've used a SheepSki Designs digi called 'Steam Power' which you can find here in Andrea's Etsy shop.  I coloured the image with Promarkers and added a stamped sentiment to fit with the 'celebrations' theme.

The backing card I've used is from Kanban (it's actually meant for Christmas!) and I've added some black gems and some black punched dots.

New Alphabet Challenge - X is for X-tra Special Occasion


We've reached the letter X at the Alphabet Challenge Blog and our theme this fortnight is 'x-tra special occasion'.  You will find all the details plus see the cards from the rest of the Design Team here on the challenge blog.

I've made a silver wedding anniversary card using a champagne glass die which was free with one of the craft magazines a little while back.

I die cut the glass twice from silver card and added some pearls over the bubbles which emboss on the bottom of the glass.  I then added some silver and white numbers from Stampin' Up.  The sentiment was stamped using a Uniko Stamp and embossed with silver embossing powder.

I'm sharing another of the cards I designed for my last Little Claire Designs workshop.  For this one I used 'Poppies' stamp which you can find here on their website.  I stamped on to patterned paper from Craft Creations and coloured the image with Promarkers.

The paper behind the image is kraft paper on which I used an embossing folder.  I then 'wiped' a brown Memento ink pad across the paper to catch the dry embossed pattern.

I'm sharing a very simple birthday card using one of my favourite Memory Box dies called 'Perky Poppy'.  

I die cut it twice, once from black paper and once from red paper and then inlaid the red die cut sections into the black outline.

The sentiment is a stamp from Uniko.

New Scribbles Designs Challenge - Go for Green


This month on the Scribbles Design Challenge we want to see you 'go for green'!  All the details plus the DT cards can be found here on the challenge blog.

We should be seeing some small signs that spring is on its way and with it, so many wonderful lush shades of green. Additionally, St. Patrick's Day will be celebrated on March 17th, and soon after that on April 1st, it will be Easter! In anticipation of the all the green to come, this month, simply create a project that is at least 55% green. It doesn't have to be monochromatic, you can use other colours as accents but we'd like to see the vast majority in beautiful shades of the colour green.
