Ever So Lovely ....

Here's a card made with one of the new releases from Little Claire Designs, a really cute little stamp called 'Ever So Lovely'.  I've used it with the sentiment from another Little Claire set 'A Little Bird Told Me' - I thought it fitted perfectly with the stamp!

My pink spotted paper is from Craft Creations and I've also used some Card Candi coloured with my Sandstone Promarker to match the image.

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges:

The Poodles Parlour - 'birthdays'
Crafts 4 Eternity - 'anything goes'
Totally Gorjuss - 'birds of a feather'

You Deserve a Treat!

I couldn't resist this stamp when I spotted it at the Harrogate Show - it's perfect for at least half a dozen people I can think of!  It's a Crafter's Companion SWALK stamp called "You Deserve a Treat".

For this birthday cards for one of my friends, I've kept the design fairly simple - just some pink floral paper (from a free paper pad) and a little bit of striped ribbon across the middle of the paper.  I used some brown paper round the edge of this layer and Card Candi coloured with a Promarker.  The little tag is from Craftwork Cards.

A couple of challenges for this one:

The Paper Shelter - 'for the girls'
Sweet Stampin - 'anything goes' (second entry)

Designer in the Spotlight at Winter Wonderland

A big thank you to Winter Wonderland for inviting me to be their 'Designer in the Spotlight' for today's new challenge which is 'Across the Miles' - you can see all the details of the challenge and a little bit about me here.  There's lots of other gorgeous inspiration from the DT plus details of the challenge itself.

My card for the challenge was made using 'Mr Darcy's Christmas Post' from Little Claire Designs - one of my favourites of their older designs.  The paper I've used is from Doodlebug and the sentiment is computer generated.  I've finished the card with some red dotty ribbon and Card Candi which I coloured with my Promarkers to match the colouring on the image.

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges:

Another Little Claire Class!

Today I've done another Little Claire class but on a much smaller scale than Saturday's classes!  Six ladies came to the home of Little Claire for a Christmas card class and I think everyone enjoyed it.  We made five different cards and I'm sharing three of them in this post.

The first one (above) uses the 'Star of Wonder' stamp - I decoupaged the whole image and then just the scarf on the bigger bear to give it some extra dimension.  It's layered with some Bazzill card and the purple scrolls paper which I really love.
This second card uses the 'No Peeking Now' stamp which I've paper pieced with the red dotted paper to match the background.  It's layered with Bazzill again and I've added one of the die cut Red Gingham sentiments plus some Card Candi to finish it off.
Finally, for this last card I used the 'Little Claire's Snowman' stamp and also some of the Red Gingham sentiment stamps.  I made the base card out of Bazzill and then added some blue dotted paper.

I'd like to enter the cards in the following challenges:

ABC Christmas Challenge - 'S is for a shaped card plus spots' (final card in this post)
Papertake Weekly - 'Creature Comforts' (first card)
Craftroom Challenge - 'anything Christmas'

My First Little Claire Class!

Today I've had a very busy but very enjoyable day teaching my first ever card making classes!  Together with my fellow Design Team members Gaynor and Helen R, I've taught three classes making Christmas cards using Little Claire stamps.  Thirty one ladies came to Thornton Hough village hall on the Wirral to spend the day with us and I think everyone enjoyed themselves!

The card above was one of the ones I did in my class - it was made using the very cute 'A Little Bird Told Me' stamp which I paper pieced using the same paper as I'd used on the background.  The sentiment is one of the Red Gingham 'Christmas Text' stamps and I finished it with some white swirly ribbon and some Card Candi.
This is one of my other cards made using the "Will He Find Us?" stamp.  The base is a piece of six inch square card folded in half and the circle and scalloped circle were cut with Nestabilities.  I've added a little bit of Card Candi to finish it.

I've really enjoyed teaching my first classes and I'm looking forward to my next one which is this coming Thursday!

I'd also like to enter my first card in the current challenge at Winter Wonderland which is 'girly Christmas'

New Challenge at Little Claire Designs - "Black and White"

There's a brand new monthly challenge on the Little Claire blog and this time our theme is "Black and White".  For my card I used the "Single Flower" stamp which is one of my favourite Little Claire stamps.  It's not all that clear from the photo but I stamped the flower head twice and then decoupaged the bottom part of the flower to give the image more depth.  I've used some black and white papers - black stripes on white and white dots on black and where I overlapped the papers, I added a black peel off line to neaten up the card.  I coloured white Card Candi with my black Promarker to finish the card.  The peel off wording I used is also from Little Claire

For all the details and to see who won the last challenge, please click here - you can also see all the beautiful cards made by fellow DT members!

Paper Pieced Tutti Cuti

This cute little shopaholic is from Personal Impressions and the bold lines on the stamp make it perfect for paper piecing.  I've used some pink spotted paper from Craft Creations to paper piece her hat and coat and then used the same paper on the background of the card.  The rest of the image is coloured with Promarkers and I've then added a punched flower and a die cut sentiment from Craftwork Cards.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

I Love Promarkers - 'anything goes' (third entry)
Charisma Cardz - 'anything goes' (third entry)

As promised, here as some more cards made with the new September club set from Little Claire Designs called "Delivering Christmas Wishes" available here on the website.  This first card is an easel card made using the postbox image and the circular greeting.  I've used papers from Doodlebug and some red card plus Card Candy coloured with my Promarkers to match the stamped design.
This second card using the Morris Minor image plus the other sentiment.  The paper is from Craft Creations and I've used a die cut for Go Kreate.  The pale blue card is Bazzill and I've also used white Card Candy.

Bringing You Christmas Wishes

This is a stepper card that I've made with the new Little Claire September club stamps called "Bringing You Christmas Wishes" - you can find all the details of the set here on the website and see lots of cards made by the rest of the very talented Design Team!

I've used all the stamps from the set on this card - a very simple card which just uses stamped and coloured images plus some patterned paper from Craft Creations.
Following on from one of the panels on the stepper card, I also made this little robin card as I thought these cute little guys deserved their own card!  I stamped the line of robins twice, coloured them in and they layered the image on to some green card and then some Bazzill swiss dot card.  The greeting is a peel off from Little Claire Designs.

I've got a couple more cards made with the set to show tomorrow but in the meantime you can see me demonstrating how to make the stepper card (not exactly difficult!) plus some of the gorgeous creations by the other DT members in a new video on the Little Claire Designs website here - just try not to laugh too much!!!
