New Challenge Blog - Where the HeART Is ...


There's a brand new challenge blog starting on 7 September and I'm going to be part of the Design Team!

There are going to be two teams on the Challenge Blog - a mixed media team and a card team.  I'll be part of the card team.

New Fantasy Stampers Challenge - The Colour Purple

New Magazine from Little Claire!


The first edition of the new magazine from Little Claire has just been launched and I'm very excited to be part of the team behind it!

It's a full colour magazine containing projects and ideas plus a gorgeous free stamp and project ideas to make with the stamp.  You can find all the details here on the Little Claire website.

You can see the very cute stamp that comes free with the magazine at the top of the post and this is my card made with the stamp:


There are step by step instructions for making the card and two other projects using it made by Diane and Heidi.  I also have another project in the magazine and I will share that very soon!

Imagine That Weekly Inspiration - Joyous Reindeer!


This is my weekly inspiration card for Imagine That Digis by Kris and yes, I've made another Christmas card!

This time I've used the very cute 'Joyous Reindeer' digi stamp set which you can find here on the Imagine That website.  I've used red gingham and kraft paper together with some holly paper and have finished the card with some Card Candi.

I've made something a bit different for my card - no Promarkers in sight!

I used my Memory Box butterfly die to cut the aperture out of the pink patterned paper and then cut another butterfly out of white card and placed that inside the aperture.  The sentiment I've used is from the Little Claire Dinkies Text 'Sending Smiles' set which is here on their website.

Deedee's Digis - Digi of the Month


Time completely got away from me last month and I missed entering the Digi of the Month Challenge at Deedee's Digis so I'm really lucky that this month is a 'free for all' and I was able to download the Christmas basket digi free of charge - thank you!

I've coloured the digi with Promarkers and used some paper from an old Dovecraft paper pack split into three panels.  I finished it with some punched snowflakes and gems plus a peel off sentiment.

For my card I've used a digi from Nikki Burnette called 'Mermaid Stamp - Chrissy' - you can find her here in the Nikki Burnette Etsy shop.  The paper I've used is from my stash - I've had it ages and I can't remember where it came from!  I was looking for something with 'sea colours' and this just seemed perfect.

Cow in the Air Balloon!


I discovered the Julia Spiri store on Etsy recently and love her digi stamps - lots of really cute and sweet characters.

When I spotted this new release digi on her Facebook group, I just couldn't resist!  It's called 'Cow in the Air Balloon' and you can find it here in the Etsy shop.

I've combined it with some papers from a magazine giveaway pack, a sentiment and some Card Candi and paper flowers.

Crafty Sentiments Designs August New Release: Josh - Candle


It's time for the final August stamp release from Crafty Sentiments Designs and today's stamp is called 'Josh - Candle'

For my card I've used some Dovecraft papers layered with kraft paper and a peel off sentiment and finished the card with some  Card Candi.

New Glory of Christmas Challenge - Humorous


When I saw that the theme of today's new challenge on The Glory of Christmas Challenge was 'humorous', I headed straight for my Doctor Digi's House of Stamps digi-stamps - no one does humour quite like Doctor Digi!!

Crafty Sentiments Designs August New Release Day 3: Isobel - More Presents


It's the third day of the August new releases from Crafty Sentiments Designs:


Today's new release is 'Isobel - More Presents' and she will be available, along with all the other new releases, on the Crafty Sentiments Designs website here from 23 August.

For my card I've used a digi from All Dressed Up called 'To Have and to Hold' - you can find it here in their Etsy shop.  I die cut the image with a Spellbinders die and then matted it on to some card I bought a while back in a local craft shop.  I finished the card with some silver paper and some self adhesive pearls.

New Alphabet Challenge - N is for No Patterned Paper


We've got a new challenge today on the Alphabet Challenge Blog and this time it was my turn to choose a challenge theme.  The letter is N and I've chosen 'no patterned paper'.  You can find all the details about the challenge here on the challenge blog.

I've made a card using one of the latest silhouette Christmas stamps from Little Claire - this one is called 'Cats on Roof' which you can find here on their website.  The sentiment I've used is from the 'Dinkies - Text Merry Christmas' set which you can find here.

I used reverse masking to make the card - I cut an aperture in a piece of card using an oval Spellbinders die and then used this to stamp through.  I then masked off the moon using a piece of post-it note and applied the ink to the image, keeping the oval mask in place.  I used a mixture of Adirondack and Brilliance inks.

It's my turn to share a card today on the Imagine That Digis by Kris blog and I decided to make a Christmas card for a change.

This is one of the cards I designed for the August meeting of the little craft club I run.  The main shape was die cut using a lace die.  It folds out and links together to give a really striking card focus.

Owl I Want for Christmas is You .....


A little while back I took part in a party night at Sunsational Stamps and was lucky enough to win my choice of digi stamp.  

I couldn't resist this guy!  The digi is called 'Owl I Want for Christmas is You' and it's here on the Scrapping With Lisa Designs website - her website is the sister site to Sunsational Stamps.

I've coloured the image with Promarkers and then used paper from a magazue giveaway pad and some red gingham ribbon.
