GDT Card for Make the Cards Challenge - Use Two Patterned Papers

I'm back again as a Guest Designer for the Make the Cards Challenge and today's new challenge is:

You can find more details about the challenge and see the cards from the Design Team here on the challenge blog.

I always end up with lots of small pieces of patterned paper after cutting 6 by 6 pieces for card fronts so I decided to use two of the left over strips to make my card. I cut the paper into one inch squares and glued them on to a piece of white card.

The papers are from Stampin' Up and I used Mossy Meadow card stock as my layer together with a die and stamped sentiment all from Stampin' Up.

Here's another view of my card:

I would like to enter my card in the following challenges:

Seize the Birthday - anything goes
SUO Challenges - birthday

  1. Love this, Helen - great combo of papers! Such a fun way to feature two DSPs - great job! Thanks so much for playing at SU Only!

  2. Helen, I love your card and the use of the scraps. What DSP is it? I might have it in my 3' high stack!!

  3. This is such a pretty card, Helen. It reminds me of a quilt. You picked colors that blend so well together and great use of your scraps. Thanks for joining us at Seize the Birthday!

  4. Your squares are perfectly aligned! Looks like such a pretty quilt sampler, thankyou for playing along at Seize the Birthday, Cathy x

  5. Helen, it was great to see you as our Guest Designer at Make the Cards Challenge AND entered this lovely card into Stampin' Up! Only Challenges. Thank you so much for joining us at and hope that you join us again tomorrow for our kid theme!

  6. The first thing I thought when I looked at this card was "what a pretty quilt." I think my quilter friends would love to receive a birthday card like this.

Thanks for leaving me a comment - I really do appreciate it.

Helen x
