Crazy Cousin GDT Card For The Double Trouble Challenge - Love is in the Air

 


Today I'm very excited to be back again as a Crazy Cousin on the Double Trouble Challenge Blog!!


This means that I will be guest designing for the two February challenges and the first one starts today.

Here's a summary of what's involved:


So Thing 1 is to follow a 3-2-1 recipe:


I've used 3 patterned papers, 2 shapes (circle and heart) and an image.

Next is Thing 3 which is to include a heart and a sentiment:


I've included a punched heart plus a sentiment

And finally, if you've used the 3-2-1 recipe and followed the sketch over at Try a Sketch on Tuesday you can link your card up there to be eligible for an additional random draw chance!

New Stamping Sensations Challenge - Romance/Anything Goes

Today I'm sharing my DT card for a brand new challenge blog:


The idea behind the challenge is that it's anything goes using paper and/or scissors.  To read more about the challenge and to see the cards from Deanne, Becca and myself head over to the challenge blog here.

To make my card I used this beautiful collection from Relatively Thoughtful:


It's a beautiful collection of papers, images and elements to fussy cut.

I used one of the patterned papers, an image and then fussy cut one of the flowers using my scissors.  I layered the card with kraft paper and white card.  My sentiment is from Stampin' Up and I stamped it on the image of a piece of lace from the collection.

To make my card I used the 'Spring Birds' die cut and paper pack which was a free gift with a recent issue of Simply Cards and Papercraft.

I layered the paper with black card and added a sentiment circle from Craftwork Cards to finish my card.

New AAA Birthday Challenge - Ink Smooshing

I have to admit that ink smooshing isn't something I do very often so this one was a challenge for me!  I used Distress Inks in Mustard Seed, Dried Marigold, Spiced Marmalade and Barn Door with a water spray and then trimmed my piece of card to fit my stamped image.

I used the 'Marigold' stamp from Honey Doo Crafts here stamped in black ink and then added a birthday sentiment from Stampin' Up and some black gems.

New Allsorts Challenge - Anything Goes/Romance/Music

To make my card I used the brand new Loved Up digital stamp collection from Kate Hadfield Designs which is available here - you get a lot of fabulous images in the set but I couldn't resist using this cute bear first!

New Scrapping 4 Fun Challenge - Black and White With One Colour

I smooshed some Distress Ink over a piece of white card - I used Salty Ocean and Blueprint Sketch combined with water.

Then I stamped one of the images from the Dainty Delight stamp set from Stampin' Up in black ink adding a sentiment also from Stampin' Up.

I layered with black and white card and finished the card with two black gems.

To make my card I used a kit from the wonderful Anne Constantly-Carding.

This little guy can be found is the Balloon Boy Series #7 which is here.  There are lots of different kits in the Balloon Boy series and you get an image, two backgrounds and a sentiment.  Great for cute but quick cards.

I added some card from Craft Creations and some gems from The Works.
