It's time for the second challenge on the Girlz Creative Splash It With Colour Challenge Blog:
For this challenge we're using purple and lilac:
For all the details about the challenge and to see the cards from the rest of the team, head over to the challenge blog here.
Here's another view of my card:
My card was inspired by a Hunkydory show on Hobbymaker - they have just released a set of arch dies too and the demonstrator was making a card using a series of pieces of card to support a single arch. Each of the stands she made fitted into each other to use with die cuts but I chose just one piece of card to support my card.
I used:
- Extraordinary Flora stamps and dies from Stampin' Up
- patterned paper from Stampin' Up
- arch dies from Stampin' Up
- Promarkers
- sentiment stamp from Stampin' Up
I would like to enter my card in the following challenges:
Your card is such a graceful interpretation of the purple and lilac theme—elegant yet full of personality. The single arch structure gives it a striking focal point, and I love how you’ve balanced the floral elements with the patterned paper to create depth and harmony. The Promarker coloring adds a softness that complements the sentiment beautifully, and the whole design feels both fresh and thoughtfully composed. It’s inspiring to see how you took a technique from the Hunkydory demo and made it your own with such flair.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a beautiful birthday card with all that pretty purple! Love the arch shape and the unique fun fold in front that’s perfect for the birthday sentiment! Thank you so much for sharing this lovely card at Creative Creases Challenge!
ReplyDeleteHelen, what's not to love about purple and lilac! This is such a great way to use the Everyday Arches dies. I had never heard of Hunkydory so thank you for opening up my stamping world. Thank you, also, for submitting this beauty in our Creative Creases Challenge.
