New Alphabet Challenge - I is for Island Fun (Anything Tropical)


We've got a new challenge today on The Alphabet Challenge Blog and this time we've reached the letter I.

So our theme for this time is I is for Island Fun or anything tropical.

I've used some patterned paper from Stampin' Up layered on to coloured card from Stampin' Up and Bazill Card.

I then used a stamped sentiment and label dies also from Stampin' Up for my focus followed by some clear gems to finish the card.

New Arty Divas Challenge - Anything Goes


There's a new challenge today on the Arty Divas Challenge Blog and, as always, it's an anything goes theme.

We don't have a sponsor for this challenge so we're playing just for fun.

I'm sharing a card I made recently for one of The Card Hut shows on Create and Craft.

The stamp set I've used is called 'Nothing to Do Fairy' and is part of the Seasonal Fairy Bundle designed by Linda Ravenscroft.

Monthly Blog Project for The Little Paper Tree - Grace in Bloom

New Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge - Anything Goes/Use Some Twine or Ribbon


There's a new challenge today on Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge and this week it's anything Christmas goes with the option to use some twine or ribbon.

And the prize on offer for this week's winner is:


To make my card I punched a bauble shape out of a piece of white card using a punch from Stampin' Up.  Then I wrapped four pieces of ribbon round a scrap piece of card to sit under the punched aperture.

I stamped a sentiment from Stampin' Up on the white card and then attached the card to layers of red and gold paper using foam pads to raise it up over the ribbon wrapped card.

I finished the card with some red gems.

Kawaii New Release from Stampers Delights


It's time for the Kawaii new release from Stampers Delights and this month there are three great digi stamp sets to share with you.

The first one (on my card above) is called Tweet:

On my card I've combined the branch, the birdhouse, one of the birds and the Home Tweet Home sentiment.  I coloured the images with Promarkers and used some patterned paper and green card from Stampin' Up.  I finished the card with some little pearls.

Next are two super cute craft themed digi stamp sets:

To make my card I used a Stampin' Up stamp set called Wonderful Moments.  I coloured one of the main images and paper pieced her dress using one of the designs from the Flowers Blooming paper pad from The Works.

I used another piece of the paper as my backing and then layered it with some Bazzill card.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

I layered the card with some dark brown and mustard yellow paper and used my corner rounder punch on two corners of the papers.  Finally I added a birthday stamped sentiment and some dark brown gems.

Weekly Inspiration Post for The Little Paper Tree - Skiing By


It's Sunday which means my weekly inspiration post for The Little Paper Tree online craft shop.

This week I've used the very cute Skiing By stamp set from Pink Fresh Studios:


I started by created a snow hillside by blending ink against a piece of card.

Then I stamped and coloured the bear and the trees twice - I did realise when I'd put the card together that it looks like he's going to ski straight into the second set of trees!

Finally I stamped and die cut one of the sentiments and added it over the blended ink.
