Little Claire Class - One Stamp, Lots of Cards

I've just come back from another great class at the Little Claire Design Studio in Ledsham - a big thank you to the ladies who came along and made it such a fun morning!

Today the class was 'One Stamp, Lots of Cards' and I used the beautiful 'Cherish, Hugs, Dream' stamp set which you can find here on the Little Claire website.  We made five cards in all using the main floral image and the little butterfly stamp.

For the first card (above) I stamped the background using the small butterfly stamp and then the main image in black layered on to black and white card.  We used Versafine Onyx Black for this card because it gives a lovely crisp image when you're not using Promarkers (it doesn't work with the Promarkers because the colour bleeds).  To the bottom of the card I added some of the gorgeous English Lace and some white sheer ribbon coloured with a black Promarker.  To finish I used some white pearls - some I left white and some were coloured with a black Promarker.

Next a very simple card using acetate as the base.  This time the image has been coloured and matted on to pink and blue card.  I added a peel off greeting and some clear gems.

This one was a little bit vintage in style.  The image was stamped on kraft paper with Versafine Vintage Sepia and then I tore the edges (against a ruler).  The lace is the same as I used on the first card but this time we coloured it with the Vintage Sepia pad.  Again I finished the card with some little pearls.

Next a card with the image stamped in Memento London Fog for a softer look.  Once it was coloured, the image was then covered in a piece of the Glitter Sparkle Sheet.  I finished the card with a piece of white ribbon and three Card Candi coloured with my Pink Carnation Promarker.

And finally a tag card - for this one I cut the stamped image in to three equal pieces and added the small butterfly to the left hand panel.  I've used white sheer ribbon coloured with my Amethyst Promarker.  The tag cards are available here on the website and you'll see that they also come in lots of other different colours.

I'd like to enter my cards in the following challenges:

Thanks for joining in at Totally Gorjuss... our challenge is actually Anything Goes with Lace... (not flowers as in your link), so your top card is perfect for the theme!

  6. Helen, ALL the cards are just grand. That is definitely a versatile image. I really like how it can go from sophisticated (the black and white) to whimsical (the colored) to masculine (the brown). Well done, lady! Thank you for sharing this week at Flutter By Wednesday.
