New Allsorts Challenge - Anything Goes/Stencils and/or Masks

We're back today on the Allsorts Challenge Blog with a new challenge:

This fortnight it's anything goes with the option to use stencils and/or masks.  For all the details about the challenge and to see the cards from the rest of the team, head over to the challenge blog here.

I've used the second stamp, die and set of masks from the Thankful Garden suite from Stampin' Up.  You can see my first card using the set here.

I stamped the flower and then coloured it using the masks before die cutting it.  I used Magenta Madness and Mossy Meadow inks - using different pressure with my blending brushes for each mask layer.

Here's another view of my card:

I used patterned paper from Stampin' Up and a sentiment from their Simply Said stamp set to finish the card.

So for the next two weeks, we want to see orange, pink and white on your cards.  For more details about today's new challenge and to see the cards from the rest of the team, head over to the challenge blog here.

I decided to create a stencilled background to use on my card.  The stencil is the Cross Stitch Stencil from Honey Doo Crafts which is one of my recent purchases.  It's a large stencil so I created a background which was 15cm by 15cm - I was able to use it for today's card and next Monday's card too!

I used Flirty Flamingo and Grapefruit Grove inks from Stampin' Up.

Here's another view of my card:

After using the stencil I added some more colour with blending brushes and then a tiny accent detail with a fineliner pen.

The birthday die is from Funky Fossil Designs cut using some orange and white card.
