New from Little Claire - 'Daisy Bear'

Seven brand new stamps are now available from Little Claire on their website:

Aren't they gorgeous?  There's something for everyone and every occasion in there.

Five of the new stamps are showcased today here on the Little Claire blog.  There's also a competition to win all five of the new stamps featured - all you need to do is leave a comment to say which is your favourite.

My card (above) was made using the very cute 'Daisy Bear' which you can find here on the Little Claire website.  I've used pale blue gingham paper (of course!!) for the background and also paper pieced Daisy's bow to match.

My Favourite 5 Creations of 2013

It's hard to believe the Christmas and New Year holiday break is nearly over and tomorrow it will be 2014!  I took some time yesterday to choose my favourite five creations of 2013 to join in with the fun on Debby's blog here.  This really was a difficult choice to make as I've made so many cards over the past year but here goes:

First of all, my most recent Little Claire blog project which was a notepad and calendar desk top set.  The first photo shows it closed and the second the inside.  For this project I used one of my favourite Little Claire stamps from the past year, the beautiful 'Butterfly Blossom' which you can find here on the Little Claire website.

Next, another Little Claire blog project - the first time in years that I'd made a waterfall card.  For this one I used one of my all time favourite Little Claire stamps, the very cute 'Hedgehogs in Squares' which you can find here on their website.

My third choice is a new baby card made using a very cute Nutcrafters stamp and a sentiment from the Little Claire 'Dictionary Definitions ' set.  By the way, are you noticing a pattern with the paper I've used on all my cards??!

Next, another baby card this time using a digi from Pink Gem called 'Bathtime Baby' which you can find here on their website:

And finally, a change to gingham using another Pink Gem digi called 'Chloe in Knitted Hat' which you can find here on the website.  Very different colours for me and no gingham in sight!!

So that's my favourite five for 2013 - it could easily have been a favourite twenty five!

My Favourite 5 Christmas Creations

I've spotted this on a couple of other blogs in the last few days so I've decided to join in!  Debby has shared her five favourite Christmas creations on her blog here and invited everyone else to join her.  Not an easy task for me as I seem to have made so many more Christmas cards than usual this year but here goes:

using 'Joy Hope and Wonder' from Little Claire which you can find here - my original blog post is here

using a topper from the Hobby House Mo Manning 'Eskimo Kisses' sheet which you can find here - my original blog post is here

using 'Winter Washing' from Nutcrafters which you can find here - my original blog post is here

using 'Reindeer Josh' from Pink Gem which you can find here - my original blog post is here

using 'Bitty Christmas Tree Bears' from Meljen's Designs which you can find here - my original blog post is here

Hope you like my choices and thanks again to Debby for the challenge!

Crafts-Too Challenge You - The Natural World Twist 2

This is the final week of our month long 'natural world' challenge at Crafts-Too Challenge You and also week 2 of our second twist which is 'any winged character'.

For my final card of the month I've made a CAS design using very subtle patterned paper.  I've put white Starform velvet border stickers down each side of the paper and added Crafts-Too pearls to the scallops at the bottom of the card.  I coloured a die cut butterfly with an alcohol marker and attached this to a doily.  The sentiment is an old Hero Arts stamp which I thought fitted perfectly with the theme.

Black and Silver Christmas

This is the Christmas card I made for my parents - a bit different to what I usually make!  I used a  LacĂ© die to cut a silver rosette shape and matted this on to black and more silver paper.  Finally I added silver Hobby House pearls to the rosette and put a Craftwork Cards sentiment in the middle.

A Couple of Last Minute Cards

These are two of my 'last minute' batch cards which I've made over the past couple of days.  Both of them were made with Paper Artsy JOFY stamps.

The first one (above) was made using JOFY Mini 2.  I stamped the design on to kraft paper and then paper pieced the start to match my background paper.  I finished if off with some glitter glue around the frame of the design.

Next I've used JOFY Mini 1 again stamped on kraft paper.  I coloured the tree with Promarkers and added glitter glue to the frame around the design.

For my card I die cut the Crafts-Too 'Fanciful Flowers' die using green card and then trimmed the flowers off so it fitted the square card I wanted to use.  I coloured die cut butterflies with alcohol markers and both of these were attached to a piece of white card embossed with the Crafts-Too Dots embossing folder.  I added pearls to the butterflies and a peel off greeting to finish the card.

I made the base from a piece of card and then added a calendar pad and covered note pad - I used X-Cut dies to make the words 'notes'.  On the opposite side I created a pocket for receipts, appointment cards etc.

For the front cover and the outside of the pocket I used 'Butterfly Blossom' from Little Claire which you can find here on their website.
