New from Little Claire - Christmas Tags

Brand new from Little Claire is a gorgeous set of tag Christmas sentiment stamps - a perfect finishing touch to a Christmas card.

There are twelve in the set and you can find them here on the Little Claire website.

For my first card (above) I used one of the tags 'Let it Snow' which I stamped three times on blue card and then cut out.  I tied a short piece of white sheer ribbon through the top of each tag and then attached them to the card using foam pads.  The paper I've used is from Craft Creations.

For my second card I used one of my favourite Little Claire stamps called 'A Little Bird Told Me' - you can find it here on the website and it works really well either for a Christmas design or for a winter birthday.  The paper I've used is from the First Edition Stocking Fillers pad which you can find here on the website and I've used one of the papers to paper piece the little girl's outfit.  This time I stamped the sentiment tag on kraft card, added a ribbon and again attached it with a foam pad.

I'd like to enter my cards in the following challenges:

More Christmas Changing Tree Plus Digi Background Paper

'Christmas Changing Tree' is one of Little Claire's new designs for this year and follows on from the original 'Changing Tree'.  The idea behind the set is that you have a base tree image which you can then decorate with lots of little stamps to make your own unique design.  You can find the full set (including the tree) here on the website and, if you've already got the tree stamp, you can buy just the little embellishment stamps here.

For my cards I've also used the digi paper 'Christmas Changing Tree Background' paper which is available in two sizes here and here - I've used the smaller of the two designs.

For my first card (above) I made a circular easel card using one of the Little Claire 'Christmas Text' stamps on the strip across the base.

Card Creations Plus Four Day Deal on Create & Craft - Part 3

Today is the last day of the Card Creations Plus Four Day Deal on Create & Craft and I've got three more cards to share.

One of the features on the CD is the brand new 'snowflake spray' - this allows you to add your own snowflakes to the designs or to add them to a plain coloured background.  I used the feature to print on acetate for the first time (that one took a bit of experimentation!) and the card above uses some of that acetate.  I cut a circle out of the blue card using a Nestabilitity and then raised the panel above the base image using foam pads.  The white frame (again made with Nestabilities) gives some contrast and neatens the edge.

Next, I used some of the acetate as part of my card base:

You can see the pale blue colour of the acetate in this photo.

Finally a card made using the snowflake spray on to a plain coloured background:

I'd like to enter my cards in the following challenges:

Creative Inspirations - 'anything goes'
Craft Your Passion - 'anything goes'

More New Christmas Stamps from Little Claire

Today two more great new Christmas stamps have been added to the Little Claire website - 'Robin Redbreast' and 'Away in a Manger'.

My first card (above) was made using 'Robin Redbreast' which you can find here on the website.  It's a lovely, traditional image so I've kept to a fairly traditional Christmas colour scheme for my card (above).  My paper is from Craft Creations and I've layered it with gold and green card and then added some gold nail head stickers to finish off the design.

Next is 'Away in a Manger' which you can find here on the website.

I've kept my design for this one very simple because it's such a delicate image.  I stamped the main image in black and the star in Versamark which I then embossed with silver detail powder.  I layered the image with silver and blue card and again added nail heads to finish it.

There's still one more Christmas release tomorrow ... and it's one of my favourites of the week!

Another new Christmas stamp has just been added to the Little Claire website here and this time it's the very cute 'Sleep Tight' featuring three owls asleep in a tree trunk!

For my card I've used a Dovecraft paper plus some red card and finished it with a peel off greeting.  It doesn't show up too well on the photo but I've also used Glamour Dust on the snow and the moon.

New from Little Claire - Christmas Stamps Day 2

Two more great new Christmas stamps have just been added to the Little Claire website and the first one is the gorgeous 'Christmas Joy' which is available here on the website.  On my card (above) I've decoupaged the little heart and birdhouse and also added some red Stickles to the finished design.

The next new stamp is 'Silhouette Manger' which is a beautiful traditional design - it's available here on the website.

For my first card (above) I've used some of the Glitter Sparkle Sheet from Little Claire to cover the entire stamped image and I've then layered this on to silver and black paper.

Next, something I hadn't tried before, a card blank made of acetate covered once again in the Glitter Sparkle Sheet.  I inked the image in Cool Peri Adirondack ink using some foam, masking around the star using a circle punched out of the sticky part of a post-it note.  I've then added small self-adhesive gems to the stars and the middle of the big star.

I'll be back tomorrow with some more cards but in the meantime, have a look at the blog here for more information about these releases.

**SPECIAL OFFER**

Call Little Claire 0151 342 5715 today and before 11am tomorrow (Wednesday 8 August) and you can receive either stamp for the special launch price of £3.50  (RRP £5.50)

Card Creations Plus Four Day Deal on Create & Craft - Part 2

Today I've got more cards made with 'Dennis Lewan's Gift of Christmas' to share - the CD is the current 4 Day Deal on Create & Craft.

First of all, a circular easel card using one of the peel off sparkle circles, some of the backing paper from the CD and one of the little shaped sentiments.

Next a card using one of the shaped toppers, shaped sentiments and the pattern backing paper.  I've added some silver Candi to finish it.

My next card uses the 'snowflake spray' feature on the CD - you can decorate any of the images yourself using different shaped snowflakes.  It's great for customising the images and you can add as much or as little decoration as you want.  This time I've finished the card with some white sheer ribbon and a Craftwork Cards sentiment.

Finally, an easel card using some of the pattern backing paper plus one of the topper sheets - the snowflake strip across the base and the little sentiment are all part of the same sheet with the topper.  You get separate panels for the topper so I've used foam pads to attach these to the base image.

I'll be sharing my final cards on Thursday.

I'd like to enter my cards (above) in the following challenges:

New from Little Claire - Christmas Stamps Day 1

Today is the first day of a week of Christmas stamp releases from Little Claire - an amazing selection and definitely something for everyone.  Today, I'm showcasing 'Letters Snow' and 'Polar Hugs'.

First of all, a brand new alphabet and numbers set 'Letters Snow' which you can find here on the Little Claire website.  It's a great set for making personalised Christmas cards and those based just on text.

**SPECIAL INTRODUCTORY OFFER**

Until midday on Wednesday 8 August you can buy 'Letters Snow' for the special offer price of £10 - the RRP is £12.99!

My first card (above) is an easel card using one of the tall, slim cards.  The paper I've used is from Little Claire here and I've also used lilac card and some white Card Candi.

My second card (above) uses the same card blank but this time with some blue spotted paper, some white glitter card (which doesn't show up on the photo too well) and blue card.

The second of today's releases is called 'Polar Hugs' and you can find this stamp here on the website - isn't it cute?!  In my first card (above) I've used paper from an old Forever Friends pad, white sheer ribbon, a peel off greeting and some rhinestones.

For my second card (above) I cut round the image and then put it against a background of dark blue patterned paper from Paper Adventures.  The little sentiment is from Personal Impressions.

Have a look at the Little Claire blog here for some great inspiration from my fellow Design Team members.

There are more great releases tomorrow so make sure you keep an eye on the Little Claire website and blog.

I'd like to enter my cards in the following challenges:

Card Creations Plus Four Day Deal on Create & Craft - Part 1

A brand new Four Day Deal has started today on Create & Craft and this week it's a gorgeous Christmas CD rom from Card Creations Plus 'Dennis Lewan's Gift of Christmas'.  I've been part of the Design Team creating samples for the shows and I'll be sharing my cards over the next few days.

The CD contains an amazing range of artwork - lots of different Christmas and winter scenes which are all beautifully detailed and really gorgeous images.  There are toppers in different shapes, backing papers, bookmarks, stationery, envelopes, inserts and lots, lots more.  There's also a great 'snowflake spray' feature which can be used on the images as well as on plain backgrounds and acetate - more about that later in the week!

My first card (above) uses one of the round toppers, the background paper and also one of the circular, glittery peel offs which are featured on the show.  The silver border is part of the peel off and it's perfect for anyone who likes glitter but not the mess you get with loose glitter!

Next a sepia card.  You can alter the colour of the images with a sliding scale bringing the colour down to sepia tones which I think looks really effective.  This card also uses some of the backing paper and I've finished it with a chain link peel off and a Craftwork Cards sentiment.

Next, a design using the star shaped ornament toppers which fit perfectly in to the star peel offs which are party of the show.  The background on this card is from the CD too and I've finished it with some silver Card Candi.

Finally, a card made from one of the book mark sheets.  I trimmed off the bottom part of the bookmark and then used this to make a four panel card.  The picture continues across the four panels and two of them have text of them too.  Just a different way to use the bookmark panels.

I'll be back tomorrow with another selection of cards.

Meet Rufus Owl - New from Little Claire

This cute little owl is called Rufus and he's brand new from Little Claire for the bargain price of £2 - you can find him here on the website together with some cards made by my fellow Design Team members.

I've used him to make a birthday card - the sentiment I've used is from the Little Claire set 'A Little Bird Told Me...' and the paper is from my stash (no name on the sheet).

I'll be back tomorrow with the first of a week of Christmas showcases with Little Claire plus some of my sample cards created for tomorrow's brand new Card Creations Four Day Deal on Create & Craft!

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges:

Challenge Up Your Life - 'everything goes'
2 Sisters Challenge Blog - 'anything goes'
Wags and Whiskers Blog - 'birthdays'
Corrosive Challenge Blog - 'they say it's your birthday'

Christmas Star

I treated myself to two of the new Lili of the Valley Christmas stamps last week and here's a card made with one of them, 'Christmas Star'.

I've used some paper from Craft Creations and lace and ribbon from my stash.  The ribbon is a white sheer one and it works really well coloured with Promarkers - perfect for matching to the rest of a design (my tip for Top Tip Tuesday!).  I've finished the card with Card Candi and a little Craftwork Cards sentiment.

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges:

Lili's Little Fairies - 'Christmas in July'
Paperplay Challenges - 'layer it up'
DYSU - 'polka dots'
I Love Promarkers - 'spots and stripes'
Cutie Pie Challenge Blog - 'Christmas in July'
Top Tip Tuesday - 'focus on the ribbon'
Christmas Cards All Year Round - 'card for a child'
Winter Wonderland - 'ribbon and lace'
