Some More Class Cards

Here are some more of the cards I designed for the Little Claire class that I taught on Saturday of last weekend - these are also from the 'Made for Men' class.

The first one (above) is a tag card made using the 'Seascape' stamp set.  It's one I hadn't used before but I really like the images and the little life saver and anchor fitted perfectly on the bottom of the panels of the card.

Next an easel card using one of the new Super Six Men stamps - this one is called 'DIY'.  A very useful stamp for men's cards - you probably can't see it in the photo but the little sign hanging on the stepladder reads 'gone to the pub'!!  I also used some buttons from 'Georgina's Buttons and Stitching Stamp Set' - coloured, cut out and then glazed with Glossy Accents.

And finally a card made with one of the images from the new Men's A4 Die Cut Sheet - I wanted to use the 'Man Tree' image as part of the class but because it takes a little while to colour in, I decided the die cut was a good compromise!  Again I've used the buttons and some cross stitching from 'Georgina's Buttons and Stitching Stamp Set' - the gingham paper makes the stitching stamps really easy to use!

Some challenges for my cards:

Dream Valley Challenges - 'just for men'
Crafty Sentiments Design - 'shaped not square'
The Stamping Boutique - 'shaped cards'
The Paper Shelter - 'fancy folds'

Oh Man!

Today I'd like to share a couple of cards I made for the 'Made for Men' Little Claire class I taught on Saturday of last weekend.  We made a total of six cards during the three hour class but today I'm sharing two we made using the 'Oh Man' stamp set from Little Claire.

In the first card (above) I paper pieced the chair and foot stool and then decoupaged the newspaper and the little dog.

For my second card (above) I made a twisted easel card using the tie image and also the little socks image.  I used some of the new Craftwork Cards newsprint Candi coloured with Promarkers to finish the card off.

I'll share some more of my cards plus the ones I made for the other class (using the 'Butterfly Tree' stamp set) later in the week.

Some challenges for my cards:

Dream Valley - 'just for men'
Crafty Creations Challenges - 'fancy folds' (second card)
Sweet Stampin Challenge - 'it's a man thing'
The Stamping Boutique - 'fancy folds' (second card)
Craft Your Passion - 'paper piecing' (first card)

As Seen in Papercraft Essentials!

If you've seen the latest issue of 'Papercraft Essentials' magazine, you might have spotted a collection of hedgehog cards using Little Claire stamps in the 'cut out and keep' section in the middle of the magazine.  The cards were made by members of the Design Team and this is my card made using the very cute 'Splishing and Splashing' stamp.

The base of the card is half of a 5" square card blank folded in two and then I've rounded the bottom corners and added layers of kraft and patterned paper.  The image was stamped and coloured with Promarkers and then I've paper pieced the umbrella to match the patterned paper.  The image panel was then layered on to kraft and I finished the card with Card Candi coloured with a Promarker.

Here's how the card looks in the magazine:

Some challenges for this card:

Craft Us Crazy - 'favourite colour/embellishment' (Card Candi and paper piecing if that counts as an embellishment!)
2 Sisters Challenge - 'anything goes'
Allsorts Challenge - 'it's your choice'

I'll be back tomorrow with a brand new challenge from The Squirrel and the Fox!

Final Day of the Flossie Showcase - New from Little Claire

Today is the final day of the Little Claire Flossie showcase and we're launching the final two stamps in the series.

The first one (above) is called 'Flossie and Daisychain' and you can find the stamp here on the website.  I've used some paper from the Back to Basics III paper pack (also available from Little Claire), a scalloped card base and some white Card Candi.

For my second card I used another shaped card blank and some paper from the 'Princess Fairytale' paper pack (which is on the Little Claire website).  I put some ribbon and self adhesive gems across the middle of the card and used a Little Claire peel off for the sentiment.

Some challenges for these cards:

I Love Promarkers - 'time' (second card - 'take time to enjoy life')
Cute Card Thursday - 'winged things' (second card)
Moving Along With the Times - 'lots of layers' (first card)

Meet Flossie and Winnie!

Today's new Flossie stamp from Little Claire is called 'Flossie and Winnie' - it features the very cute Flossie all wrapped up for winter with the sweet little Winnie.  I think she'd have been a bit overdressed for the weather we had today - it's been like a summer's day!

You can find today's stamp here on the Little Claire website and don't forget to look at the blog here for more great cards from my fellow Design Team members plus a chance to win one of the stamps.

Today's card uses one of my favourite techniques - paper piecing.  I've paper pieced Flossie's coat and also Winnie's little coat.  For the background I've layered up blue gingham paper to match the paper piecing and kraft paper.  The sentiment is one of 'Claire's Super Six' from Little Claire and I've die cut the mount again using kraft paper.

Some challenges for the card:

Paper Creations Ink - 'favourite technique' (paper piecing and stamping)
Papertake Weekly - 'get krafty'
Moving Along With the Times - 'lots of layers'

I've stamped Flossie and coloured her with Promarkers and then decoupaged her book.  The sentiment I've used is from the die cut 'Sentiment Mix' set from Little Claire.

Flossie Showcase Day 2 - New from Little Claire Designs

Here's my card for today's new Flossie stamp which is called 'Flossie Skipping' - isn't she cute?

I die cut the card base and then the layers of brown and patterned paper.  The image is stamped and coloured with Promarkers and then I added some Card Candi and a little button made from 'Georgina's Buttons and Stitching Stamp Set'.  The set is perfect for making button embellishments for cards as they are flat and cheaper to post than using real buttons!  Plus you can colour them to match your design.

You can find today's stamp here on the website and have a look at the blog for more card examples and a chance to win one of the stamps too here.

Some challenges for today's card:

The Crazy Challenge - 'use a die or punch'
Allsorts Challenge - 'anything goes'
Crazy Catz - 'favourite things' (stamps, pink, dies, Promarkers, patterned paper)

Less is More - Punches or Die Cuts

Here's my card for the latest Less is More challenge which is 'punches or die cuts'.

I've used some kraft paper punched on each side with my Fiskars threading water punch and then a strip of pink gingham paper across the front of this.  The sentiment I've used is from an Elzybells set and I've finished the card with some self adhesive stones.

Nutcrafters Challenge - Anything but Square

Here's my card for the latest Nutcrafters Challenge which is 'anything but square'.  I've used the 'Mary, Mary' stamp which is from the Nursery Rhyme collection and paper pieced her dress with some pink spotted paper.  The base of the card is a 5" square folded in half and I die cut the image using one of the circle Nestabilities.  The frame is two of the lacey circles cut out of pink card an layered together.

Concertina Tag Card

Today I'm sharing a very simple tag card I've made with the Little Claire 'Garden Set' - it's this month's club set and contains some very cute little images including this flower pot and wellies.  The concertina tag card is also from Little Claire - it comes ready cut and scored in to four parts completed with the holes in the top of each tag for your ribbon.

I've just used two sizes of oval Nestabilities and then stamped and coloured the images.  My paper is from Little Claire and to finish I've added some Card Candi and peel off greetings.

Some challenges for this card:

Crafter's Companion - 'anything goes'

A Couple of Valentine Cards ....

Here are a couple of Valentine cards I've made using images from The Stamp Fairy.  I've seen the site a couple of times on other people's blogs and finally got round to having a look at it yesterday - the images I've used for these cards were my first purchases!

My first card (above) uses one of the very cute Molly designs which I've used with some red Bazzill and some paper which was part of a Forever Friends pad which came with a magazine a little while back.

This second card uses one of the 'Barry in Love' collection - I've kept this one very simple with just a red scalloped circle round the image.

Some challenges for these cards:

Crafts and Me Challenge - 'use a new image'
Moving Along With the Times - 'cute critters' (second card)
The Crazy Challenge - 'Valentines Day'
Joanna Sheen Challenge - 'love is in the air'
