And the theme for today's new challenge is:

You can find all the details and see the cards from the Design Team here on the challenge blog.

As soon as I saw the challenge theme, I knew exactly which stamp I was going to use!  The birthday sentiment on my card is from the Stampin' Up Happiest of Birthdays stamp set and I stamped it with black Versafine onto white card.

I also recently bought the very cute Hot Dog stamp set, also from Stampin' Up and I decided to use one of the dogs with the large sentiment.  I stamped and coloured him with Promarkers before cutting out the image.  I paper pieced his hat and collar from one of the stripes in the backing paper I used,

My backing paper is also from Stampin' Up as is my flower punch and the stitched die I used to cut out the sentiment.

I finished the card with some black gems and a punched black circle.
